On Friday, September 23, 2016 Pam Busch, the Mobility Manager for Door-Tran, received the Organizational Excellence award from the Greater Wisconsin Agency on Aging (GWAAR) at their Wisconsin Aging Network Conference in the Wisconsin Dells. “We are truly honored to receive this award and feel that our team of staff, volunteers and board members do strive for excellence through all of our new and expanding transportation services”, said Busch. “Partnerships with providers and many organizations in our community and beyond is why we are able to provide the amount of services that we do”.
“It takes the cooperation of many partners to ensure that older adults have their transportation needs met. Door-Tran staff and volunteers go above and beyond by connecting customers with partner organizations for additional services. The collaborative leadership of Door-Tran has been key to serving the transportation needs of older adults in Door County”, said Wes Martin, GWAAR Board Member.
